Mission Statement
Mt. Hermon Church will demonstrate the love of God to all people by leading the lost to a personal relationship with Christ and guiding the saved into a closer walk with Christ through worship, Bible study and Christian service.
Statement Of Faith
1. We Believe in the inspiration of the Bible, both Old and New Testaments.
2. We Believe in the trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
3. We Believe in the miraculous conception, virgin birth, sinless life, substitutionary death, physical resurrection, High-Priestly ministry, and imminent return of Jesus Christ.
4. We Believe that man is totally depraved in the sight of God, that he must be born again, that justification is based entirely upon faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and that man’s destiny is determined by receiving or rejecting Christ as Savior and Lord.
5. We Believe that Heaven and Hell are literal places and the final abode of the saved and the lost in eternity.
6. We Believe that every person who received Christ as Savior is instantaneously baptized by the Holy Spirit into the invisible Church, known in the Scriptures as the Body and Bride.
7. We Believe that the local church should be a self-supporting, self-governing and self-propagating assembly of baptized (immersed) believers.
8. We Believe that the church has two ordinances: Baptism by emersion and the Lord’s supper. The observance of this ordinance is open to all believers.
9. We Believe that we have an obligation and a privilege to glorify and witness for Him, preaching the Gospel in all the world as commanded by our Lord and Savior out of Love for Him as the motivating force.
10. We Believe that the Word of God is the sole authority for the foundation and perpetuation of the Gospel ministry carried on by the Mount Hermon Church.
